GWINNETT SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES NEW SIX-CONCERT SIGNATURE SERIES AT LAWRENCEVILLE ARTS CENTER
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Gwinnett Symphony is pleased to announce the launch of a new six-concert Signature Series at the Lawrenceville Arts Center beginning with the 2026–2027 season.
Located in the county seat of Gwinnett County, the Lawrenceville Arts Center provides a premier performance venue and a fitting home for Gwinnett Symphony's new Signature Series. The series, made possible in part through the generous support of the Lawrenceville Arts Center, marks a significant milestone for the organization as it continues to expand its artistic offerings, provide audiences with an enhanced concert experience, and present some of its largest and most ambitious productions to date.
The inaugural Signature Series will showcase the full breadth of Gwinnett Symphony's artistic programs, featuring masterworks and pops concerts by the orchestra and chorus. Highlights include Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4, Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique, and Hanson's Symphony No. 2, together with internationally acclaimed violinists Anastasia Agapova-Lacomba in Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto and Nadir Khashimov in Sibelius' Violin Concerto. The series will also feature renowned vocalist and trumpeter Joe Gransden headlining two performances of Gwinnett Symphony's annual Holiday Pops celebration, including beloved traditions such as Kids Conduct Sleigh Ride and other family-friendly holiday favorites. Additional highlights include a celebration of American music featuring René Clausen's Memorial for chorus and orchestra, alongside works by Aaron Copland and Howard Hanson, as well as a special Spring Pops concert by the Youth Orchestra.
While the Signature Series represents an exciting new chapter, Gwinnett Symphony's roots in Lawrenceville run deep. For more than eleven seasons Discovery High School has served as the organization's rehearsal home, while Discovery Theater has hosted many of its season performances. Those longstanding relationships will continue in the 2026–2027 season through the organization's ongoing rehearsals and a new two-concert Spotlight Series at Discovery Theater. In addition, the annual Messiah Sing-Along will continue at Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church. For the first time in the organization's history, all major season performances will take place within the City of Lawrenceville, further reinforcing Gwinnett Symphony's longstanding connection to the community.
“Our musicians and patrons deserve an exceptional concert experience, and the Lawrenceville Arts Center provides a first-class setting for this new series,” said Robert Trocina, Artistic Director of Gwinnett Symphony. “Lawrenceville has been an important part of our organization's history for many years, And having access to a professional performing arts venue creates exciting new possibilities for both our musicians and audiences while allowing us to present our music in an environment that reflects the quality and ambition of the artistic experiences we strive to create.”
Gwinnett Symphony is grateful for the work of the Lawrenceville Symphony Orchestra and its Music Director, Pyeongkang Park, whose dedication and leadership have helped establish the Lawrenceville Symphony Orchestra as the resident orchestra of the Lawrenceville Arts Center. The new Signature Series is intended to complement and broaden the range of performing arts experiences available to audiences in Lawrenceville and throughout Gwinnett County.
Additional information regarding concert dates, subscriptions, and ticket sales will be announced in the coming weeks.
